The TRNC Parliament approved the creation of a national geographic data base in cooperation with Turkey.

The Northern Cyprus Parliament by a majority vote
(27 in favor, 9 against) approved the bill on
establishing the National Geographic Data Infrastructure
(KKTC-UCVA). The project will be implemented in
cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Environment,
Urbanization and Climate Change. Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoglu emphasized that this initiative will allow for the integration of all disparate information on land management, agriculture, meteorology, and resources into a single digital system, which has been a long-standing goal for the past 25 years.
