1. Only One Polluted Beach
   Recent monitoring in the Dipkarpaz, Bafra, Famagusta, and Iskele areas showed that only one beach — in the Ayfilon municipality — did not meet cleanliness standards. All other beaches tested are considered safe for swimming. 

2. Surface Cleaning, but Trash Remains
   Despite volunteer and environmental team efforts, beaches are still littered. Cleaning is carried out twice daily in different regions (Famagusta, Iskele, Yeniboğaziçi, Tatlısu), but the visual and ecological situation has not improved significantly. 

3. Black Flag at Iskele Beach
   Activists raised a black flag in Iskele as a protest, claiming that recently published water cleanliness reports are inaccurate because sewage still flows into the sea. 

4. Opening of Public Beaches in Famagusta
   From May 15, six municipal public beaches in Famagusta will open. Among them: Glapsides Beach, Palm Beach, Deryneia Beach, Karakol Beach, and two beaches in the closed Varosha area. 

5. New Café at Varosha Beach
   A café is planned to open within the closed Varosha area. Beaches from Klapsides to Varosha, including some in military zones, are now accessible to the public. Local authorities describe them as “the most beautiful beaches in the country.”
