✈️ New Aviation Campaign “Island Cyprus”
The TRNC has launched the “Island Cyprus” project in cooperation with Turkish Airlines (THY) and AJet. The goal is to promote Northern Cyprus as a tourism brand on the international stage.

Among the initiatives: special flights (including from London via Istanbul), branded aircraft liveries, and participation of media and cultural representatives.

🏗 Artificial Islands Tourism Project
An ambitious plan has been announced to build artificial islands off the coasts of Kyrenia and the Karpas Peninsula.

The islands will feature hotels, residential complexes, and entertainment areas — contributing to the region’s tourism infrastructure.

📆 10-Year Tourism Development Master Plan (2025–2034)
The government of Northern Cyprus will present a strategic plan covering the period from 2025 to 2034.

Key themes: sustainable (eco-friendly) tourism, preservation of cultural heritage, development of alternative tourism forms, and engagement of local communities.

🏘 Rising Rental Prices and Housing Crisis
Due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira and rising foreign currency exchange rates, rental prices have soared, especially in Nicosia.

The average rent for an apartment of about 75 m² is around £640 per month in Kyrenia and £410 in Famagusta.
Some landlords have begun setting prices in pounds, further burdening tenants earning in lira.

📜 New Rules for Short-Term Rentals (Airbnb and Others)
TRNC authorities have announced potential new requirements for mandatory registration of property owners renting out homes short-term (e.g., via Airbnb). The aim is to better manage tourist flows.
