✈️ New "Cyprus Island" Aviation Campaign
The TRNC, in collaboration with Turkish Airlines (THY) and AJet, has launched the "Cyprus Island" project. Its goal is to promote Northern Cyprus as a tourism brand on the international stage.
Initiatives include special flights (including flights from London via Istanbul), branded aircraft liveries, and participation of media and cultural representatives.

🏗 Artificial Islands Tourism Project
An ambitious plan to construct artificial islands off the coast of Kyrenia and the Karpas Peninsula has been announced.
The islands will feature hotels, residential complexes, and entertainment facilities, contributing to the development of the region's tourism infrastructure.

📆 Ten-Year Tourism Development Plan (2025–2034)
The government of Northern Cyprus will present a strategic plan for the period 2025–2034.
Key themes: sustainable (eco-friendly) tourism, preservation of cultural heritage, development of alternative forms of tourism, and engagement of local communities.

🏘 Rising Rents and Housing Crisis
Due to the weakening Turkish lira and rising foreign currency exchange rates, rental prices have surged sharply, especially in Nicosia.
The average rent for an apartment of approximately 75 m² is around 640 pounds per month in Kyrenia and 410 pounds in Famagusta.
Some landlords have started setting prices in pounds, further burdening tenants earning in lira.

📜 New Regulations for Short-Term Rentals (Airbnb and Others)
TRNC authorities have announced potential new requirements for mandatory registration of property owners renting out homes for short-term stays (e.g., via Airbnb). The aim is better management of tourist flows.
